Wow. I had such high expectations for Angels & Demons. Ron Howard did a great job at showing the world the enormous amount of wealth the Vatican is in possession of. Mr. Howard failed miserably, however, at developing the story about the battle between science and superstition. Angels and Demons was very similar to the Da Vinci Code. You have Robert Langdon running around with some pretty girl after some bad guy. That's the story, in both movies. Ron Howard had a real chance to show just how the Vatican has screwed much of the world, justifying their actons by saying that they do good work or that it's all in the name of god. Oh well, the book wasn't some piece of history. I just think Ron Howard could have done a greater job developing the rivalry between the science community and the Vatican church.
