Whatever happened to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness? This basic American creed has been hijacked by religious nutbars in the United States. Why is it that religious folks and their 'moral' bullshit can't keep their bullshit to themselves? Why do they get to decide some other fellow Americans' happiness (and the pursuit of)? By what right? What? The bible? You have to be frikin' kidding me! That book is full of so much shit that it's sick. It's full of murder, rape, incest, infanticide, and a pretty jealous and angry main character. If you ever wonder why there are so many Atheists out there, it's cause they probably read the bible and understand the power of bullshit!
I have to say that I am terribly sorry for the gay folks that are screwed by Proposition 8. I'm sorry that you have to deal with all of those people out there that are not true Americans.
Peace,
from Canada

Are Pads a Medical Necessity?
I know this is a strange thing for a guy to be thinking about, but here goes. Are there other alternatives to feminine pads? A safe alternative to pads? Here is a quote from an article I read about women in Uganda.
"urban poor were improvising with unhealthy materials such as banana fibers, grass, leaves, old newspapers, and pieces of cloth that did not provide reliable protection."
It seems there is a doctor out there that developed a safe, cheap pad for the poor folk.
Pads are expensive in Canada. For single moms or women hit with hard times, that means taking money from other things like food to buy pads.
I really thing that something should be done to help the Canadian "poor". I'm sure some sort of tax credit or other assistance scheme could be employed here.
The reason that I thought of this is because a lady friend of mine (who is having a tough time right now) finds that living is really tough on a single income. No Shit! So when she was at WalMart the other day buying pads, she started to cry. She really had no choice. It's like, get the pads or make a bloody mess everywhere. I'm sure she is not the first to fell like this.
If anyone reads this, consider what I'm suggesting here. Let's see if we can't figure something out here.

Congratulations Are In Order
Wow, I can't believe it! A Black person in the White House - and not in handcuffs! I'm not sure who to be impressed with the most - the American people - or president elect Obama. Mr. Obama seems to have captured the sensibilities of the American public. Maybe this president will use his power to bring positive change to his fellow country folk and maybe some other parts of the world. Good job Mr. Obama, and may the force be with you.
