Suckers!

I just saw a video on CNN depicting a young man talking about how 'freedom is always worth the price' - as he walks away from the camera you see his prosthetic leg. He's making a reference to the fact that John McCain served to protect his country.
What I don't get is all this bullshit about all these people serving their country 'fighting for freedom' is some other country! I could see it if they were DEFENDING their freedom and liberty from others (within the borders of the U.S.), but they are going to some other country (usually when they are not wanted) and wreaking havok everywhere, forcing the U.S. brand of "democracy" - and they call this fighting for freedom? Give me a freakn' break.

Politicians are actually really smart. They know that most of the general public is dumb and complacent and this is how they are allowed to pull some of the craziest crap on everyone.  We let them. So when someone tells you that they are fighting for 'our' freedom abroad, just let them know that they've just been had. Thanks.

I just read an article about an ex math teacher turned mixed martial arts fighter. I guess helping out others learn is not as important or glamorous than beating the hell out of someone. Why would you want to beat the shit out of anyone anyway? I'm also wondering what kind of people are going to these events? Pay money to watch someone have the shit kicked out of him. Oh man :(
