Bigotry is a crime

What the hell is the matter with folks today (or any other day for that matter)? What makes you - yeah YOU - think that you are any different than me? You eat, right? So do I! What a coincidence! I go to the crapper. What, so do you? You wear clothes? Me too. You sleep? Me too! It's kinda nice to have a roof over your head isn't it? I think so.

I could go on and on with our similarities, so what is the problem with people? The problem, as I see it, is an issue of "I'm better than you are" syndrome. One of the most difficult things that we do is not being able to keep our bigotries to ourselves. To put it another way would be to say that we just can't not say something about how someone is doing something "wrong" - usually when it's not even our business! Taking a position like this implies that you must know how to do things right. Aside from how you reach your moral conclusions, this is what I mean.

Keeping your nose (or opinions) out of others' issues, would/could reduce much of the tension on this big planet of ours. Bigotry is a crime against humanity. It devalues humanity, it disrespects the human mind.

Bigotry is a crime.
